TERMS AND CONDITIONS

To be eligible for a rebate or incentive in accordance with the Industrial Energy Partners Program (IEP), I must be a qualified SoCalGas customer with an active meter and be installing qualified product(s).
I understand the rebates and incentives are determined by the date the application is received. I understand to receive a rebate I must submit my application within 12 months of the purchase date, and applications must be submitted within the same calendar year as the installation year. Installations in December are allowed 3-months into the next year to submit an eligible application (ex. Complete installation on December 31, 2024, application must be submitted by March 31, 2025). Exceptions must be in writing and be granted at SoCalGas’s discretion. I understand to receive an incentive, projects have 24 months to be installed from the date of SoCalGas and California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), if applicable, project application approval. Extensions must be in writing and be granted at SoCalGas’ discretion. Products purchased and installed in adherence to these terms are eligible for rebates and incentives, provided rebate/ incentive funding is still available. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Rebate and incentive offerings and amounts may change without notice during the program term. Resale products, rebuilt, rented, or leased less than five years, received from warranty or insurance claims, exchanged, won as a prize, or new parts installed in existing products, do not qualify for any rebate or incentive. The terms and the incentive and rebate application requirements may be modified or terminated without prior notice.
I understand only complete applications and Conditional Incentive Reservation (CIR) forms can be processed for rebates and incentives. Failure to submit a complete application and CIR may result in delay or rejection of a filed application. Complete applications and CIR must include all required application information, a signature, proof(s) of purchase and other required documentation for all products as referenced in this application. Original applications will become the property of CLEAResult Consulting, Inc. (CLEAResult) and SoCalGas. CLEAResult and SoCalGas are not responsible for items lost or destroyed in transit through the mail or electronic medium.
HVAC WORKFORCE STANDARD QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS. Pursuant to CPUC Decision D.18-10-008, starting July 1, 2019, all projects involving the installation, modification or maintenance of HVAC measures, and reserving a project incentive of $3,000 or more, must be installed by technicians with one of the following criteria: (a) Completed a California or federal accredited HVAC apprenticeship, (b) Is currently enrolled in a California or federal accredited HVAC apprenticeship, (c) Completed at least five (5) years of work experience at the journey level as defined by the California Department of Industrial Relations, passed a practical and written HVAC system installation competency test, AND received credentialed training specific to the installation of technology being installed, (d) Holds a C-20 HVAC contractor license from California State Contractor’s Licensing Board.
I will allow, if requested, a representative from CLEAResult, SoCalGas, the CPUC, or any authorized third-party reasonable access to my property to verify the installed product before a rebate or incentive is paid. I understand a rebate or incentive will not be paid if I refuse to participate in any required verification that is scheduled within 30 days of SoCalGas or CLEAResult contacting me. SoCalGas or CLEAResult may contact the product vendor and/ or installer, if needed, to verify purchase and/or installation and may provide my name and/or address to third parties to complete this verification.
I certify that I have installed/ will install product(s) in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, building codes, manufacturer’s specifications, and permitting requirements. If a contractor performed the installation or improvement, the contractor holds the appropriate license for the work performed.
I understand the rebate or incentive amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the product, including installation costs, nor can it include taxes or shipping costs. CLEAResult and SoCalGas reserve the right to limit the number of products receiving rebates or incentives.
I have not received a rebate(s), incentive(s), or service(s) for the same Equipment (“Equipment”) from other California Investor-Owned Utility (IOU), states or local programs funded by the Public Purpose Program Surcharge (PPPS). However, I understand that water utilities are not funded by the PPPS, and I may apply for their rebate(s), incentive(s), or service(s) I understand I cannot receive a rebate for the same product(s) from more than one California investor-owned utility or other rebates or incentives funded through CPUC authorized energy efficiency funds. Products discounted by Utilities at the point of sale are not eligible for additional rebates. I understand I cannot receive a rebate and incentive for the same product(s).
CLEARESULT AND SOCALGAS MAKE NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY AND ASSUME NO LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO QUALITY, SAFETY, PERFORMANCE, OR OTHER ASPECT OF ANY DESIGN, SYSTEM PRODUCT, OR APPLIANCE INSTALLED PURSUANT TO THE APPLICATION AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY SUCH REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, OR LIABILITY. I AGREE TO INDEMNIFY CLEARESULT, SOCALGAS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, SUBISDARIES, PARENT COMPANY, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, AND EMPLOYEES AGAINST ALL LOSS, DAMAGE, EXPENSE, FEES, COSTS, AND LIABILITY ARISING FROM ANY CLAIMS RELATED TO ANY PRODUCTS INSTALLED OR SERVICES PERFORMED DURING THE INSTALLATION OR MAINTENANCE OF SUCH PRODUCTS.
If I am a tenant, I am responsible for obtaining the property owner’s permission to install product(s) for which I am applying for a rebate or incentive. My signature on this application indicates I have obtained this permission.
CPUC Authority: These Terms and Conditions can be modified at any time in accordance with any directive of the CPUC and regulation of SoCalGas. Any information, results and reports regarding this Agreement and Customer’s Project shall be made available to the CPUC.

CLEAResult is a SoCalGas authorized contractor responsible for implementing this program through December 31, 2027.

The Industrial Energy Partners (IEP) Program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. CLEAResult provides marketing support for this program pursuant to a contract awarded to CLEAResult by SoCalGas. Program funds, including any funds utilized for rebates or incentives, will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until such funds are no longer available. This program may be modified or terminated without prior notice. The selection, purchase, and ownership of goods and/or services are the sole responsibility of customer. SoCalGas makes no warranty, whether express or implied, including the warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, of goods or services selected by customer. SoCalGas does not endorse, qualify, or guarantee the work of CLEAResult or any third-party contractor, including any trade professional, utilized in connection with this program. Customers who choose to participate in this program are not obligated to purchase any additional services offered by any such contractor.
